Q: Do you think it's ironic that Panchito is doing good in school, since most poor Mexican people are stereotyped to have lousy grades?
A: Yes, because there are few Mexicans in poor conditions that actually have good grades because they would much rather work to get money or not study.

Q: Would you believe that the curandera was a person who healed or someone who practiced witchcraft, since she mentioned that Panchito's dad had been hexed?
A: I would believe that she practiced witchcraft because if you went to a doctor he would not know how to cure a hex, but a witch or person of the like would.

Q: Roberto and Panchito work 7 days a week, go to school, and study on saturday nights. Do you think today's generation of teenagers have the same work/family ethic values?
A: Most teenagers who have everything they need expect things to be there for them because they are very dependent of their parents while poorer families struggle much more and the kids are similar to Panchito's and Roberto's work/family ethic values.

QUOTE: " Think about it: Every educated person is not rich, but almost every education person has a job and a way out of poverty. So education is a fundamental solution to poverty." - Kathleen Blanco
1) I think the hardest thing in this life would be waking up and knowing that there is a full day of working ahead and if we are at this rate of poverty, it will be very difficult to get a college education to have a better life.
2) I think people do forget the farmworker because everyone just worries about the price per pound or whatever. And yes, these videos change the way I think about fruits and vegetables because it's the hard back-breaking work of a farmer.

Q: Panchito's family sticks together, they help each other through poverty, and there is a high level of respect. Do you think Pancho made the right choice? Defend your answer.
A: I believe that Pancho did the right thing because he can help out his family when he goes to college because he will win money when he gets a job as a teacher and so he could help them not be poor.
